Time Out Stools is Revolutionizing, Rejuvenating and Recycling the Stool . It is giving a new concept to an old item, completely changing the image of the stool, and creating a brand new product.

Old and used stools are found and purchased from around the Maritime Provinces, mostly Nova Scotia.  They come from every level and nook and cranny; like old farmhouses and barns where the stools were covered over with straw and forgotten for decades, basements, attics, sheds, garages, yard sales, flea markets, auctions, internet buy and sell sites, etc.

The stools are then prepared for the transformation. Sanded down to the bare wood and repaired if needed.  Then they are primed, 2 coats of paint, and then 3 coats of varnish. When this process is completed a painting is then done on the seat of the stool, and the seat is then given 4 coats of varnish.

The stool is then transformed into a Fun and Functional piece of furniture that is hand painted, classy, sleek, useful, colourful, organizer, compact, environmentally friendly, unique,  versatile, a conversation piece, and a brand new piece of furniture, as well as an original piece of art and/or sculpture, and is a welcome and fun addition to a room in any home or office. They are one of a kind and no two are alike.  Each stool is finally signed by the artist and catalogued.

The legs of the stool are used similarly as a frame would be used to display a piece of art. 

The colour black was chosen as it is unobtrusive, classy, and goes with everything, blends in with every type of decor, and the painting on the seat shows up much better. 

The stool is given a complete make-over, a new lease on life, with a whole new out-look and meaning.
